Sharps Disposal Program

sharps disposal container and syringes The Costa Mesa Sanitary District (CMSD) sponsors sharps disposal and collection at the drop box locations listed below. Sharps include needles, syringes, and lancets.  

Residents can pick up a FREE sharps container at the District's headquarters (one per customer, while supplies last) or you can use any rigid (non-puncturable), sealed container to contain sharps. These can include thick plastic laundry detergent, soda, bleach, or coffee containers.

 

 

 


 

Curbside Collection:

Sharps can be collected at your front doorstep through our Door-to-Door Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program.
