BOARD OF DIRECTORS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
TO FILL FITZPATRICK’S UNEXPIRED TERM
(Costa Mesa, CA) – On Monday, February 4, 2013 the Costa Mesa Sanitary District Board of Directors held a Special Meeting to discuss the appointment process to fill the vacant Director seat of Jim Fitzpatrick. The District is now accepting applications from residents living within the District’s service area, which includes all of Costa Mesa, a small portion of Newport Beach, and various unincorporated areas of Orange County. Those interested in serving as a member of the Board must submit a completed District application, attach a resume, and complete a supplemental form requiring a 250 word candidate statement, the applicants description of their vision for the District and their perceived role as a Board Member.
The application deadline is Friday, February 15th at 3:00 pm. Applications are available on the District’s website at www.cmsdca.gov or at District headquarters located at 628 W. 19th Street, Costa Mesa, CA 92627. Should the District receive an excessive number of applications, the Board shall review those applications in a Special Meeting on Tuesday, February 19th. Applicant interviews and the appointment will be conducted in a Special Meeting on Friday, February 22nd. The Oath of Office will be administered to the newly appointed Board Member at the Board of Directors regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 27th.
